Basil Gimlet
  • 2 oz St. George Spirits Botanivore Gin
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz basil syrup
  • ½ oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
  1. To make basil syrup, heat 1 cup of cane sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and add a few large sprigs of basil to the syrup and let cool. We like to keep the syrup we don’t use right away in squeeze bottles like these for later use.
  2. For the cocktail, combine gin, lime juice, basil syrup, and St. Germain in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until ice cold and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a basil sprig.
