Rolf and Daughters

For some of the best cocktails in Nashville go to Rolf and Daughters, see our favorites on TheTasteSF

For a classic Nashville staple, visit Rolf and Daughters. Even though it’s not new, this popular restaurant is always busy, so if you can’t get a reservation, we recommend sitting at the bar. Start with a cocktail. There’s a great list. When we visited we loved both the “Fake Plastic Trees” and “Cheap Sunglasses” (love the names, right?).

For a starter, our bartender suggested the spiralized sweet potato with salsa matcha, mint, and topped with Mimolette cheese. It was one of our favorite dishes!

Rolf and Daughters is known for their homemade pasta, so we decided to try their seasonal dish of farro Gemelli, Hen of the Woods mushrooms, and Tuscan kale. We’d also recommend their very popular Garganelli Verde with a heritage pork ragout.

We were really impressed with Rolf and Daughters’ wine list as well. It’s not long, but offers a really nice variety of interesting wines from around the world, including orange wines, wines from natural producers, and large formats. A few producers we love that are featured on their list include Day Wines from Oregon, La Stoppa from Emilia-Romagna, and Paolo Bea from Umbria. See more of our Nashville trip here.
