About

Maybourne La Plage Beach Club Monte Carlo

I’m Sarah, the founder of The Taste Edit.

For more than a decade, I’ve shared recipes, restaurant recommendations, and travel notes from across Europe. What began as a place to document where I was eating and traveling has evolved into something more focused and more useful.

Today, The Taste Edit centers on what I know best and return to again and again: France, the UK, and Italy.

This is where I write about food, travel, and daily life as it is actually lived. Not as a checklist, not as a trend cycle, and not as a once-a-year trip you forget about when you get home.

Whether you’re planning a trip or cooking dinner on a Tuesday night, The Taste Edit is designed to help you eat better, travel smarter, and bring a European rhythm into everyday life.

This is not a travel blog. It is a point of view.

What You’ll Find Here

Recipes

Simple, seasonal food that feels transportive but realistic. Many recipes are inspired by meals I’ve eaten in hotel kitchens, small restaurants, and home kitchens across Europe.

You’ll find dishes like invisible apple cake, mustard salmon, pasta from Sicily, Tuscan soups, and the kind of food that fits naturally into real life. Elegant, but doable.

Travel Notes

Thoughtful, firsthand recommendations on where to stay, where to eat, and how to plan your time. These notes focus on quality, atmosphere, and places worth returning to, not exhaustive lists.

From wine country bistros to neighborhood aperitif bars, everything here comes from direct experience, not press releases.

My Life in London

I live in London, and even when I’m not in France or Italy, I cook and live by their rhythms.

This is where I share the rituals, meals, and habits that bring that sensibility into daily life, including the non-European dishes I cook when I want something comforting, spicy, or deeply familiar.
