No trip to New Orleans would be complete without a stop at this institution. French 75, the stylish cocktail bar next to Arnaud’s restaurant, serves a complete list of signature cocktails in an incredible vintage setting. We stopped in for pre dinner drinks before heading over to cane and table and tried two of their amazing cocktails. We tried the Contessa and the Garden Mayahuel.
The drinks were fantastic, but we had the best time admiring their amazing collection of vintage cocktail glasses (including a great set of Tom and Jerry mugs). Our other favorite thing about the bar is the incredible vintage monkey lamps.
If you’re interested in history and Mardi Gras, ask the bartender to see the museum upstairs. We did not get to see it because it was closed, but it sounds like it’s definitely worth checking out during the day.
