One thing we love about traveling in France are the good surprises when we come across a place that exceeds our expectations. The Maisons du Sud Saint-Tropez are one of those places.
Catering mostly to a European clientele, this collection of vacation rentals is ideally situated between the town of Saint-Tropez and the beach clubs along the Plage Pampelonne. You can literally be in town in 3 minutes and on the beach in around 5 minutes. This is all the more important once summer traffic picks up and staying in town is ill-advised if you’re planning to head to the beaches.
The Maisons offer 21 fully-equipped vacation rentals with optional daily housekeeping service. This way you can make the experience more or less like a hotel according to your preferences. The property features a large pool, a play area for kids, and laundry facilities in case you need to wash clothes mid-trip. It’s perfect for families with kids as the apartments are spacious and offer at least enough space to sleep four. You can cook in the fully equipped kitchen or bring back pizza and wine and have a relaxed dinner on the back terrace.

To be honest, unless you are looking for a five-star resort hotel that you don’t plan to leave during your trip, we think the Maisons du Sud are one of the best options for a French beach holiday.
