Florence, the capital of Tuscany, is a city full of art, culture, and history. While most visitors flock to famous museums and galleries such as the Uffizi and the Pitti Palace, there are also many hidden gems that are worth discovering in and around the town. Here is a one-day itinerary to help you explore some of Florence's lesser-known, but equally impressive, attractions.

Start your day at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, which is dedicated to the life and work of the famous Italian shoe designer. The museum is housed in the historic Palazzo Spini Feroni, and features a collection of over 14,000 shoes, as well as a variety of fashion and design exhibits that change throughout the year.
