Located beneath the stunning Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, the Spa at Blythswood Square is Glasgow’s most luxurious day spa. The Spa at Blythswood Square partnered with Ishga, a Scottish skincare company, to develop a line of signature products made with algae and sea water from the Hebridean Isles. The result is a line of luxurious yet affordable skincare products rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants suitable for both men and women. To this day we keep a jar of their sea salt scrub in our medicine cabinet – it’s perfect for restoring dry hands and a great addition to a luxurious shower.
The Spa at Blythswood Square is known for its Hot and Cold experience, with 10,000 square feet of pools at various temperatures. Wading between the pools and fountains is the perfect way to unwind after a massage or body treatment.
For couples, the hotel’s signature Detoxifying Rhassoul experience for two uses Hebridean sea salt, lava clay, and steam to exfoliate the skin and release toxins. You start by coating yourself in the mud mixture, then sit in a tile steam room with built-in chairs. After just the right amount of time, sprayers in the walls and ceiling rinse off the mud revealing silky-smooth skin.
Following the Rhassoul experience, you can enjoy the spa’s thermal experience, or have tea in the soothing and casual spa lounge. Make sure to pick up some of the signature Ishga products so you can continue your pampering at home.
