During our recent stay at the Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne, centered in one of our favorite Swiss cities, we experienced a delightful blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Our room, located in the historic building, offered cozy elegance with views of the leafy grounds below. The hotel also features a stunning new modern wing with contemporary decor, catering to diverse guest preferences.

Regardless of the room, all of the accommodations feature sumptuous beds, luxurious bathrooms, and Aromatherapy Associates products. One of the highlights of our stay was the indoor-outdoor heated pool. Even with the chilly Swiss spring weather outside, the warm water was perfect for a swim. The pool features jet spa seats outside, offering a relaxing massage as you enjoy the fresh, crisp air.

Before dinner, we enjoyed perfectly dry gin martinis at the hotel’s bar. We then dined at La Brasserie du Royal, the hotel’s flagship restaurant. The menu featured dishes such as asparagus with parmesan crust and stuffed morels, a perfect egg with fresh peas, lamb with wild garlic and eggplant variations, and langoustine à la plancha with crispy pike mousseline. For dessert, we savored a fabulous pavlova, and the staff thoughtfully brought our son a refreshing raspberry sorbet. The combination of exquisite cuisine and attentive service made it one of the best fine dining experiences we’ve had in Switzerland.

Whether you’re considering a staycation or planning a visit to Lausanne, the Hotel Royal Savoy offers a harmonious blend of historical elegance and modern comfort. We highly recommend it for a memorable and luxurious experience.
