For a quick lunch on Paris’ upscale Rive Gauche, grab a table at this classic Paris bistro.
Le Pré Aux Clercs is located on the Rive Gauche just a few steps from the historic and more (Instagram) famous Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, where you’re guaranteed to wait hours for bad food. Seriously, we laugh at the sad-looking overpriced croissants and the influencers taking pictures of them every time we pass Café de Flore.
Le Pré Aux Clercs is usually filled with actual Parisians and is convenient to the Louvre and Musee d’Orsay as well. It serves pretty standard bistro fare like onion soup and steak frites. We also discovered one of our favorite refreshing cocktails here – the Pamplemousse Rose, a grapefruit aperitif perfect for a warm day.
We make a point to stop for one every time we pass by, and we never have to wait long for a table.
