For what is guaranteed to be an over-the-top steakhouse experience, or just for some of the best classic cocktails in San Diego, head to Born and Raised in Little Italy. It’s always busy, so we recommend making a reservation well in advance, especially if you’re headed to their glitzy rooftop bar.
We were fortunate enough to get seats at the bar without a reservation and had a fabulous dinner that included Lobster Thermidor, dry-aged steak, and spaghetti topped with uni.
The menu also features classic dishes like escargots, steak Diane, tableside Caesar salad, steak tartare, and Shrimp Louie.
Eat what you want, but the one thing you can’t miss is the fabulous martini cart, which reminded us of our favorite martini bar in London. If you just want cocktails, we recommend heading to the rooftop bar early and enjoy the sunset.
