With restaurants being closed for most of the time we’ve lived in Switzerland, we have used this time to search for the best takeout. Temaki Bar is a new takeaway sushi concept from Kakinuma, one of Geneva’s best Japanese restaurants. When we’re craving sushi, and we have the time to drive into Geneva, Temaki Bar is our go-to.
Check their hours online and get there early because quantities of Temaki Bar’s sushi and chirashi are limited. The selection starts to get limited later in the day. If you like izakaya-style Japanese food, there’s also a selection of hot dishes like karaage. We tend to stick to our favorites, including the lobster mayonnaise roll, scallop roll, and sashimi selection, which comes with freshly grated wasabi. However, you can’t go wrong with anything at this ultra-premium sushi shop that uses seaweed imported directly from Japan.
Before you leave, be sure to check out the case of Champagne, wine, beer, sake, and house-made soja to accompany your delicacies. With a takeaway sushi bar this good, we can’t wait to experience the Kakinuma restaurant as soon as possible.
