Napa Valley’s newest winery, Ashes & Diamonds, officially opens today. We stopped in yesterday for a sneak peek at their stunning new tasting room and winemaking facility. Kashy Khaledi, the owner and proprietor, has assembled a star-studded opening team, including winemaker Steve Matthiasson and Chef Emma Sears, formerly of Scribe Winery.
The midcentury tasting room was designed by LA designer Barbara Bestor, and one of our favorite features of the space is the seated tasting bar, which is the only one we’ve seen in Napa Valley. The plush bar stools are so comfortable, and the wine is so good, we think they’ll have a hard time getting guests to leave. We certainly weren’t in a hurry.
A full kitchen will feature a vegetable-centric menu, and the winery will offer various food and wine experiences, ranging from small bites to a full lunch. The grand opening is from 2-6 PM, Sunday November 5. Enter through the giant yellow door!
