Camparino in Galleria is the original Campari Bar in Milan, and a true Milan institution. In 1867, Gaspare Campari opened a wine shop in the newly-constructed Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, which became the Camparino in 1915 and continues to bear the Campari name to this day. Located immediately across from the Piazza Duomo, you can’t miss it.
We can’t imagine a better bar to stop in for a Negroni if you’re shopping of visiting the Duomo, but like many traditional Italian bars, Camparino in Galleria also serves coffee all day. If you’re following our easy and time-saving itinerary for seeing Milan’s Duomo, it’s the perfect place to stop in for a cappuccino while you wait for the rooftop terrace to open. If you’re planning a trip to Milan, get more of our favorites here, here, and here.
