We love going to luxury hotel bars in Paris. They’re great for people watching and serve fabulous cocktails. We headed to Paris for the weekend to check out the brand new Cheval Blanc Paris hotel, owned by LVMH and sister property to the famous hotels of the same name in Courchevel and St. Tropez.

Cheval Blanc Paris has two signature bars. We weren’t sure which one to choose, so we made a reservation at Limbar, the lobby bar where they serve tea during the afternoon. It wasn’t quite the fabulous experience that we were looking for, so we headed up to La Table de Partage, on the eighth floor of the hotel. The views from the Seine-side balconies alone are worth going for a cocktail. The interior design (filled with primary colors) wasn’t quite to our taste, but the location on the Seine River and the stunning views of the Eiffel Tower are worth it.

Go on a gorgeous day when you can sit outside. Ask to book table 200. It’s the best spot for uninterrupted views of the sunset as it plunges below the Eiffel Tower. Skip the « signature » cocktails, order a dry martini or gin and tonic, and enjoy the view!
