Set above the iconic Café de Paris and steps from the Casino de Monte-Carlo,Amazónico Monte-Carlo offers a tropical escape that’s one of the most coveted reservations in town, especially on weekends. We were fortunate to visit in early summer, where dining on the terrace was just magical—perfect weather, lush greenery, and a vibrant ambiance.

The cocktails are worth the trip alone. Our favorite was stunning: a Dom Pérignon-based creation served in a whimsical glass shaped like a blowfish. For starters, the Hamachi Tiradito and Aguachile were fresh and flavorful, delicately balancing of citrus and spice. The nigiri assortment rivaled what you’d find in the best sushi restaurants of any major city but in a much more charming location with sunset views over the Place du Casino.

When it came to the mains, the Picanha Rodizio (rotisserie rump steak) stole the show. It was perfectly grilled, and we highly recommend taking a peek at the kitchen’s impressive grills and rotisseries to see how it’s made. The sides—like the roasted yuca and a refreshing tomato salad—complemented the meat beautifully. Our two-year-old also enjoyed everything. We had ordered some chicken tequeños just in case but didn’t really need as he stole our sushi.

Live music provided the perfect backdrop, making the whole experience feel effortlessly festive. Amazónico manages to blend luxury with a tropical vibe without veering into the tacky territory you often get at Tiki Bars, creating an atmosphere that’s relaxed yet still refined. If you’re planning to visit, book well in advance—this is currently one of the hardest reservations to snag in Monte-Carlo, and for good reason.
