The terrace at Pavyllon Monte-Carlo, a restaurant by Yannick Alléno is one of those perfect spots where you feel like you’ve truly arrived in Monte-Carlo. Overlooking the harbor, with the palace in the distance and yachts bobbing in the water, the view alone tells you this meal is going to be special. The fact that it’s a one-Michelin-star restaurant certainly sets the expectation.
We started with a glass of champagne—because that’s just what you do here—and then the langoustine tart arrived, topped with caviar and gold leaf. It was delicate and luxurious, and to be honest we really should have ordered a second one.

Then came the wood-fired blue lobster with mushrooms and ginger butter. It had just a touch of smokiness from the fire, enough to make it interesting without overwhelming the natural sweetness of the lobster. The mushrooms added a savory balance, rounding out the dish beautifully.
The millefeuille of Wagyu beef was another standout, though it’s not your traditional millefeuille. Instead of pastry, it’s layers of beef and Paris mushrooms — rich, melt-in-your-mouth tender and a dish you’ll remember for a long time.

For dessert, we took the Prince’s recommendation and went with the consular ice cream, a pistachio lover’s dream—creamy, rich, and smooth. We also had the strawberry feuilleté, which was light and crisp, with elderflower syrup and Saint-Germain jelly. It wasn’t overly sweet, which was the perfect way to end the meal.
Pavyllon Monte-Carlo, a restaurant by Yannick Alléno is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. The setting, the food, the service—it all comes together seamlessly. Whether you’re in Monte-Carlo for a special occasion or just want a memorable dining experience, this is the place to be.
