The pool at Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort is one of those places where you can easily spend the entire day. The expansive pool, with its real sand bottom, bridges, and various water features, feels like an endless oasis. Right next to it, on a sun-soaked terrace overlooking the sea and stunning French Riviera coastline, is Las Brisas—an ideal spot for lunch between swims. Las Brisas is the casual restaurant at Monte-Carlo Bay, run by Chef Marcel Ravin, whose fine dining restaurant, Blue Bay, holds two Michelin stars.
The menu pops with the bright, vibrant flavors of Chef Marcel Ravin’s Caribbean roots, especially the fresh, local fish. When you’re dining right by the Mediterranean, it’s hard to beat the catch of the day with a bottle of crisp white wine. It was a scorching day, so we went with fresh, flavorful salads and perfectly grilled langoustines—simple but exactly what you want.
The wine list also impressed us, featuring one of our favorite Provençal producers, Henri Milan, among other selections from the hotel’s expansive cellars. For those visiting Monaco with children, a pool day at Monte-Carlo Bay paired with lunch at Las Brisas is a perfect combination. The kids will love the pool’s expansive space, while the restaurant strikes just the right balance of casual elegance to please the whole family.
