Located just off Sloane Square, the Beaverbrook Town House brings boutique luxury to Chelsea, with 14 luxurious suites each named after a historic London theatre. It’s the London outpost of the storied Beaverbrook estate in Surrey, known for its glamorous history and countryside escape. Here, the same sense of whimsy and refinement is translated into an intimate townhouse setting.

The Georgian façades open into richly layered interiors. Expect bold prints, British antiques, bright colors, and vibrant bathrooms. Our room featured a deep, majestic blue tiled bathtub and a separate walk-in shower—eye-catching but restrained, with just the right amount of flair.

The whole experience feels like you’re staying at a friend’s elegant city mansion. The service is polished but friendly. Breakfast is served in the ground floor Japanese restaurant, The Fuji Grill, and includes everything from the perfect Bloody Mary and pancakes to a full English with streaky bacon and black pudding.
The location is ideal for shopping, featuring many of the same boutiques and luxury stores as in Mayfair, but without the crowds. We loved visiting the cheese and wine shops just a few steps away. It’s calm, chic, and walkable, with a totally different feel than the more touristy neighborhoods of London.

We dined at The Fuji Grill and chose the omakase menu at the sushi counter, where a team of chefs prepared a lively progression of seasonal sashimi and nigiri. Each piece was sliced and assembled in front of us, then handed across the counter at the perfect moment. A sake tasting flight paired well with the meal, adding structure without formality. The atmosphere was upbeat and energetic, with a steady buzz from the dining room.
If you’re looking for a stylish, low-key base in London with real character, Beaverbrook Town House offers an experience that feels personal and polished.
