Our visit to Hotel Les Roches Blanches in Cassis was an unforgettable way to experience the natural beauty of the French Riviera’s stunning calanques. Set away from the quaint town center, the hotel offers a serene retreat, with stunning infinity pools blending effortlessly into the deep blue of the Mediterranean. The views of Cap Canaille’s red cliffs are truly breathtaking, making this spot ideal for those who appreciate luxury and nature.
One of the hotel’s unique perks is the teal Mehari car available for guests. It’s a fun way to make the short trip into Cassis for dinner, a bit of shopping, or a visit to a nearby beach club. The combination of peaceful escape and easy access to town is one of the hotel’s strongest points.
We had the pleasure of attending the hotel’s annual summer party, a vibrant red and white circus-themed celebration that drew guests from across the South of France. Although we didn’t have the opportunity to dine in the hotel’s restaurants on this occasion, the event provided a flavorful introduction to their offerings. We savored grilled lamb chops with garlic, giant prawns, and an array of local wines and Aperol spritzes—an enjoyable taste of the culinary experience available here.
The hotel’s design embraces a certain art deco charm, combined with a color palette that evokes the feel of a boat. The rooms, in particular, offer expansive views that make it easy to get lost in the beauty of the surrounding cliffs and sea.
While Hotel Roches Blanches offers a peaceful and visually stunning escape, it’s a destination hotel best suited for those who prioritize location and views above all. The atmosphere of the hotel carries a distinctive character that will appeal to travelers looking for a tranquil retreat in Cassis.
