Acacia House is one of the newest restaurants to open in Napa Valley, and we decided to stop in recently so we could share it with you. Acacia House is Chris Cosentino’s latest venture, and the restaurant is part of the Las Alcobas Hotel in St. Helena. It’s located in a century-old mansion surrounded by Magnolia trees. As you can see from the photos, the location is gorgeous! We went for lunch on a hot day, so we choose to sit inside, but the outdoor porch is beautiful.
We tried a few of their sandwiches, including the lobster submarine with pancetta, avocado, and sundried tomato jam, as well as the chicken mole sandwich, We also shared a refreshing strawberry salad. Their cocktails were the perfect break from our wine tasting. We loved their take on the margarita, which was topped with a salty foam and fresh lime zest, as well as the AM Spritz, a white spritz made with St. Germain, Riesling, and soda.
This is a great option if you are in the north end of the valley are are looking for a great lunch spot between wine tastings. We can’t wait to head back in the fall for cocktails on the porch!
The decor reminded us of a cool mic of a plantation and Restoration Hardware. We’d paint our house these colors in a heartbeat. It’s clean and concise but not stuffy. Not only can you relax on the porch, but we love that you can see right into the kitchen! We stopped in at the end of lunch so it wasn’t too busy, but we can only image wine the hight of dinner would be like!
