This Latin Quarter Thai restaurant is said to be the oldest Thai restaurant in Paris. We went after reading mixed reviews online and would have to side with the good reviews. Located just steps from Notre Dame, the location is charming and the welcome from its (apparently) husband and wife owners is warm.

The wife is the chef de cuisine and everything we tried was delicious. The server (husband) pointed out which sauces to eat with which rolls and the mostly French wine list offers a variety of wines to pair with the appropriately spicy dishes. After hearing that our son loves shrimp, the chef personally brought out a perfectly fried shrimp to his surprise and delight.

The ambiance is lovely if quiet, and everyone else in the restaurant appeared to be local, so this is precisely the type of restaurant we suggest to our readers looking for an authentic experience away from the crowds. Be sure to try the imperial rolls, fried rice with sausage, and the sautéed beef.
