Stefano Amato making the best pear and ricotta martini at Palazzo Avino in Ravello Italy, the taste edit
The bar at Palazzo Avino in Ravello, Italy, The Taste Edit

Our favorite place for a martini in the Amalfi Coast is the Lobster & Martini bar at Palazzo Avino. Several years ago, the head barman (now Maitre) Stefano Amato made us the best dessert cocktail for our anniversary, a pear and ricotta martini, so we made our way back to find out exactly how to make it. We’re sharing it with you below.

This is a rich, creamy  served in a martini glasses. These martini glasses are some of our favorites. They are elegant and very delicate. If you’re looking for a basic, durable  glasses for entertaining, try these.

Garnish your martini with either a slice of pear on the side or crumble Italian butter cookies on top. Either way, you’ll have an amazing cocktail. For the ricotta cream, make sure you use a good, rich ricotta. Hand dipped or fresh is our preference. It will whip better into the cream and taste even more delicious!
