Who else is ready for summer and everything that comes with it: sunshine, grilling, laying by the pool, and cocktails? Rosé is the perfect summer drink, so we couldn’t wait to try Hangar 1 Vodka’s new Rosé Vodka. Imagine the possibilities! You may remember our rosé cocktail that we created for The Chriselle Factor last year. This summer we’re adding the Pink Aloha to our summer cocktail list. It’s perfect for poolside sipping with your friends, or for when you’re standing by a hot grill and need to cool off!
Thankfully, you can now find Hangar 1’s Rosé Vodka nationwide, but if you’re in San Francisco, stop by the distillery to taste with your friends and try all of the different spirits side by side.
The Pink Aloha was inspired by our recent trip to Hawaii. While we were living the “Aloha lifestyle,” we fell in love with all things guava. It was in everything — from the cocktails to the barbeque sauce. We found several guava juice options at our local grocery, but you can also order it online.
We sipped on Pink Alohas while grilling by the pool with our friends on one of our recent sunny San Francisco days. It was the perfect cocktail to sip while catching up on each other’s upcoming travels for the summer to Paris and Italy. We shucked oysters and grilled pineapple with shell-on coconut mango grilled shrimp. How fun is that?
Pro tip: If you’re making this for a party, or if you want to easily pour it poolside, pre-mix all the ingredients in a large pitcher or container beforehand. Then you can just shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass instead of playing bartender all evening.
Give it a try for your first BBQ of the summer!
