Each year, a new list of the World’s Best 50 Restaurants is released. We were fortunate to try Eleven Madison Park in New York City last year when it still held first place on the Top 50 list. We also had dinner at The Ledbury in London, a regular on the list. We’ll be sharing more about our surprising experience there shortly.
This year, Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, has been proclaimed the number one restaurant in the world, a distinction it previously held once before in 2016. Trust us, it’s very difficult and a lot of planning ahead to get a seat at this restaurant.
After its extensive renovation, Eleven Madison Park in New York City has been bumped to number four. However, it is still the top restaurant in the United States, and a dining experience we’ll always remember fondly.
You may ask, who makes this list? It’s voted on by more than 1,000 international restaurant industry experts and well-travelled gourmets. Check out the full list ok below. Some of the results might surprise you (they did us; Cosme was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had).
