We’re excited to share with you that our favorite local artisan knife shop is coming to Chicago’s West Loop this summer. The opening is scheduled for early September. We discussed Chicago’s need for a shop like Town Cutler with owner Galen Garretson a while back, so the fact that they are expanding into Chicago’s hottest food neighborhood is so exciting and a chef’s dream. Step into the Nob Hill location any day and you’re bound to run into a chef from one of San Francisco’s top restaurants. Knives are some of a chef’s most prized possessions, so if professional chefs trust Town Cutler, you know you can too.
The new shop will be located at 1116 W. Madison St., just around the corner from some of our favorite West Loop spots like Olympia Meats, Publican Quality Meats (PQM), and fantastic restaurants like Lena Brava, Little Goat Diner, and Au Cheval. “We have had our sights set on Chicago for a while now, having spent a lot of time here and watching the city’s reputation as a culinary capital grow throughout the years,” said Garretson. “With such a robust and exciting food scene, we feel the city perfectly aligns with our commitment to enduring handmade goods.”
