When the weather is warm, we love to use the grill. Nothing in the kitchen can truly replicate the flavor of grilled food, and it’s also a great way to keep the dishes to a minimum. One of our favorite simple sides is grilled asparagus. All of you have to do is trim the asparagus, toss in olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Check out the article, “Asparagus: Does Size Matter,” to find out more about the differences between thin and thick asparagus.
When you’re ready to start grilling, you’ll want to preheat the grill first and then either cook the asparagus on low heat or indirect heat. You can put them directly on the grate. Keep an eye on them so they don’t burn and use tongs to turn them occasionally. When tender, remove from the grill and cover with foil until you’re ready to serve.
